Dr. Mark Fagan - California

After finishing a Master’s degree in Microbiology, I obtained my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Illinois – Chicago. I then attended the University of California – San Francisco School of Dentistry and obtained my Certificate in Periodontology. Since graduating, I continued on the faculty at the UCSF Dental School as an Adjunct Clinical Professor in Postgraduate Periodontology. My private practice is in San Jose, CA with scope of practice being Periodontology and Implant Therapies. I strongly believe in organized dentistry and have gone through the chairs to President in Santa Clara County Dental Society. I am also currently serving as Secretary of the  California Society of Periodontists’ (CSP) Board and am the State and Regional Representative for our District to the American Academy of Periodontology. Clinical research is also a passion of mine and have published several articles in refereed journals in both Microbiology and Periodontology, including topics on implant surgical therapies in the Journal of Periodontology, the International Journal for Periodontology and Restorative Dentistry and the Journal of the California Dental Association.
